From after-school programming for beginner players all the way up to tournament training for experienced competitors, there are multiple opportunities for all students of all ages to learn the sport of tennis.

This program offers both day and boarding options, with tuition tailored according to age.

IMG Academy

IMG Academy is the world’s premier sports education brand, providing access and opportunity for student-athletes through innovative on-campus and online programming. SPORTIME/JMTA

The Johnny Mac Tennis Project (JMTP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that transforms young lives by breaking down economic and social barriers to success using tennis as an instrument of change. JMTP introduces young children to tennis as an activity they can engage in throughout their lives for health, fitness, socialization and fun – offering 34 free weeks at Sportime Randall’s Island or nearby schools where its community programs take place for those aged 5-8 years. Research has proven its impactful effect in improving academic performance while simultaneously increasing healthy living habits among its participants’ populations.

At the JMTA Pathway, students train at our two state-of-the-art locations in Westchester and Long Island. This premier junior program was established and guided by John McEnroe to produce nationally and internationally competitive players. World-class coaches provide training including on-court instruction, sports vision training, mental toughness seminars and mental toughness seminars – as part of our complete program!

JMTA has an enviable record of cultivating young talent, such as Noah Rubin and Jamie Loeb who have competed at major tournaments such as US Open, Wimbledon and Australian Open. Their holistic approach to development involves stages incorporating progression in court sizes, ball types and net heights that creates a healthy balance between learning and competition. Furthermore, there’s Universal Tennis Rating tournament play, footwork training, conditioning programs, mental toughness training as well as leadership/nutrition courses offered throughout.

Claude oversees the overall operations policies and objectives of SPORTIME/JMTA. He establishes its budgeting process, assists site leaders, serves on its Senior Leadership Team, and has over three decades of experience with tennis court construction as well as engineering departments and maintenance activities at each site.

Ryann is the JMTA Program Director at SPORTIME Randall’s Island and oversees all JMTP community tennis programs and the JMTA Pathway. With an extensive background in youth development – over 10 years experience working with children and adolescents of various backgrounds – she aspires to empower her young students in becoming leaders while sharing the joy of tennis! Ryann is passionate about helping youth discover themselves while striving towards personal fulfillment.

Midtown Tennis Club

Midtown Tennis Club is an upscale athletic club specializing in tennis and recreational sports. Their comprehensive program encompasses everything from preschool tennis lessons for young children to tournament training for advanced competitive players, while additionally they offer group paddle lessons for all skill levels of adults.

Manhattan Tennis Club features four indoor Har-Tru courts and four outdoor bubbled and heated courts in winter months. Their staff strives to offer exceptional service while making each member feel welcome; its convenient location and welcoming environment offer the ideal place to unwind after a day spent exploring Manhattan’s streets and streets.

The Club hosts numerous community outreach events and programs, such as New York Junior Tennis & Learning (NYJTL). Their dedication to making a difference in the community was recognized with an IHRSA Outstanding Community Service Award. Their leadership team includes experienced industry professionals with in-depth knowledge of tennis.

Tennis Corporation of America (TCA) is an innovative leader in upscale health/athletic club and sports resort management, and creator of Tennis in No Time(r), TenniSchools(r) and Tennis Turf(c). TCA consults clubs on creating their tennis programming while offering comprehensive turnkey solutions for tennis centers, wellness facilities and multipurpose facilities.

John McEnroe first established JMTA at SPORTIME Randall’s Island in 2010 with a world-class team of directors including Managing Director Bennett Schlansky, General Manager Michael Ward, Tennis Director Patrick McEnroe and Sports Performance Director Lawrence Kleger. Under their guidance have come many ATP/WTA players as well as Olympians and college scholarship athletes from JMTA at SPORTIME Randall’s Island; it boasts an expert coaching staff which blends art with science to maximize players’ performance and maximize results.

Gilad Bloom Tennis

Gilad Bloom Tennis provides numerous programs, such as camps and group training sessions, designed to teach players of all ages and levels the game of tennis. Furthermore, they have videos available which teach fundamentals such as grip and stance.

This program embraces hard work and success through various means, such as developing strong mindsets, honing technical skills and learning proper nutrition practices. Furthermore, they offer fitness services designed to assist students in further improving their game.

Gilad Bloom is an Israeli tennis coach who has vast experience coaching top-level professional athletes as well as junior players at both professional and junior levels. He has worked with former ATP tour players and two-time Olympic gold medalists; possessing an intimate knowledge of his field while eager to share it with new students.

His latest video addresses one of the most prevalent problems in tennis: Choking. In it, he provides tips to prevent this condition as well as how to address its symptoms if it occurs. Furthermore, he emphasizes the need for proper warm-up routines in order to maintain players’ wellbeing and keep players healthy.

Bloom, an Israeli Davis Cup player and two-time Olympian, has been running his own tennis academy since 2000. During his playing days on the ATP tour between 1983-1995 he reached the fourth round of three U.S. Opens as well as winning three Israel National Singles Titles before reaching a career-high ranking of 61st in the world.

Coach Rob has helped many young players realize their goals. He has worked with top-ranked college players, some of which even won scholarship opportunities with major universities. His goal is to assist children of all ages and backgrounds become the best version of themselves.

Current teaching location: Riverdale Tennis Center in New York City. He holds USPTR professional status and 16 years of teaching and playing experience; having competed in numerous men’s tournaments as a USPTR certified pro; most recently making the Blizzard Bowl Final Four as an individual finalist.
