Police in Peshawar announced they have registered a case against former world champion, Jansher Khan, along with three other men following a complaint filed by one of his relatives who accuses them of storming her home and attacking both herself and her family members. She filed the lawsuit at court in Peshawar according to investigating officer Dost Mohammed.
Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) approved a technical supplementary grant of Rs 10 million for Jansher Khan, an esteemed Squash player who underwent double back surgery for chronic back conditions. This decision was taken at an ECC meeting chaired by Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar. Additionally, ECC directed Sports Division to release funds from this supplementary grant as soon as possible to his family.

Jansher seemed certain to take home the 1986 World Junior Championship title when he reached its final in Adelaide, Australia. Although most expected Rodney Eyles to prevail, Jansher made waves domestically by winning nine-6, 6-0, 9-0 against Eyles in the final match-up that would go on to define their relationship over 10 years later.
Jansher progressed from amateur to professional tennis player and, after working hard for one year, qualified for the 1986 World Open in Toulouse. In his opening round match against Phil Kenyon of England he defeated him before falling short against Chris Robertson (then reigning champion).
